Is marriage society against human, naturally?

In the natural world, ensuring the continuation of a family line is one or the foremost reason for existence. By instinct, their main concern is the spreading of genes and they fight with their life for that to be passed down as much as possible.

Man, the highest being carries similar instinct. Is this one of the contributors to man being more susceptible to multiple partners than woman? Since it is natural, is enforcing monogamy marriage in some societies against basic nature?

Marriage is one divine setup to be respected. The ultimate abundance and bond between the beings that comes with the perfect marriage is uncomparable and will never be challenged. But has it been ever made to deviate from the initial intended union by society or beliefs?
Divorce rate is increasing in many societies and so are the number of people who chose to remain single. Is the society returning to nature instinct or is it showing a deterioration of idealogy in love and commitment towards fellow beings?
